A Town Made for Horse-lovers
Race-watchers can also visit the neighbouring Living Museum of the Horse in the majestic Grandes Ecuries – stables built in the 17th century for Louis-Henri de Bourbon, seventh Prince de Condé. Housing fascinating displays on horses through the ages and different cultures, they also put on spectacular equestrian shows. And you can even enjoy a leisurely horse-ride around the glorious estate of the Château de Chantilly.
Wonderful places to stay in and around town range from the charming little Ferme de La Canardière B&B to the luxurious Chateau de Montvillargenne. Chantilly also has a fantastic choice of restaurants, crêperies and tea-room.
