The unrivalled atmosphere of Arras' famous squares, and its not one but two UNESCO monuments make a worthy detour on any trip.

Arras, like much of the region, was severly damaged in the Great War, but when sitting in its rebuilt rather than reconstructed Grand Place, you wouldn't know it. The center of town has been rebuilt to its pre-damage state, and is simply beautiful.

The food scene here is also good, with a huge choice of dining options whilst sitting around the two main Places, and from the Places de Héros there is a view of the UNESCO listed Belfry.

You will be staying at the Hotel de l'Univers, a hotel with friendly staff and lots of French charm. There is also a restaurant within the hotel if you need a convenient option after a long drive.

Parking is available but must be reserved, and pets are welcomed for a fee.
