- Peter Auto at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille 12th - 15th 2024 September
This prestigious, award-winning classic- and modern-car event set up by Peter Auto takes place in the atmospheric setting of the Château de Chantilly.
Created by high-end car events organiser Peter Auto in 2014, Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille was named Historic Motoring Event of the Year 2014 and 2015 at the EFG Octane Historic Motoring Awards. Held every other year in the glorious grounds of Chantilly Castle, it includes three automobile contests (Concours d’Elegance, Concours d’Etat, Clubs’ Grand Prix) and two rallies (Collectors Rally and Supercars Rally), so expect all the exciting sights and sounds you’d associate with the race-track including the thrum of engines and the chance to ogle original bodywork, chassis and features such as steering wheels, grilles, horns, headlights, seats and cherry-wood hand controls on makes including Bugatti, Alfa Romeo and Aston Martin.
This globally renowned event also celebrates French art de vivre and luxury through art, lifestyle and gastronomy. A huge garden party will fill the Le Nôtre gardens, where visitors are welcome to relax in a refined ambience reminiscent of an Impressionist painting.
The château itself is home to the Musée de Condé with France’s largest collection of antique paintings after the Louvre as well as a new exhibition devoted to La Joconde Nue for the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci.
You are also invited to explore the extraordinary parklands and visit the Horse Museum in the Great Stables, where you will discover many treasures of French patrimony.
All generations will enjoy an array of free activities designed to bring them together for a Sunday in the countryside, combining pleasure and learning.
