Once an important religious centre, Montreuil also used to have no less than 13 churches. Today, the highlight is the partly ruined but lovely Gothic abbey-church of Saint-Saulve with its sacred artworks and relics, originally a Benedictine monastery welcoming pilgrims. Read more
